Requirements

The following requirements are a sensible list of those skills and qualifications which companies expect to find in their future employees. Here we would like to explain what kind of professionals are in demand in Irish market of IT resources and why, and also what kind of projects our agency works on. There will be a hyperlink to the page of our active projects at the bottom of this one where you will be able to correlate everything said below with the specifications provided by the companies for candidates selection.

To begin with, we should mention that normally our agency works with big projects, in which the companies are willing to consider larger numbers of candidates CV's and, hypothetically, offer positions to the most suitable ones. Such an approach, frankly speaking, is for a lot of reasons more advantageous and profitable.

However, if the analyst in our Irish office finds a company (in an advertisement or in some other way) with only one vacancy, which one of our active candidates matches perfectly ("active" here means a candidate who has passed the interviews stage with our agency - see Recruitment Process for more details), then he immediately offers the company a resume of this engineer. In this process, we also rely on the candidates. Usually we only consider vacancies in Ireland and only found by our active candidates, who send a message about such with all the relevant info to one of our E-mails.

The above-mentioned "big project approach" results in a greater or smaller degree of interest of our agency (read "our customers") to specific professionals. Here we should pause and capitalize on the organizational structure of recruitment process in Irish SW-development and IT- related companies and on the demand in Irish market of IT resources. This will in many respects explain what kind of specialists are hard to find in Ireland.

As you know, there exists a clear and strict distribution of employees' functions in western companies. Therefore a good candidate is a specialist with minimum a year's experience in his more or less narrow domain with a stable employment record, i.e. without changing jobs several times over a year. Sometimes engineers are offered to work with technologies or in the areas they dealt in the past (for example, testing), but as a rule every employer is looking for real, active (or close to the area worked in and/or to tools used) experience.

We now are approaching the core part of the page. Because of the fact, that strict duties distribution indicates the place to everyone, these places prettily easily can be arranged in the pyramidal-hierarchical order. The higher the competitor's position, the less arithmetic chances for success are. Irish specialists become mature and there is no sense to look for suitable professionals abroad, which in addition causes a lot of problems. So a rule follows - usually Irish companies are ready to search for developers of the lowest and middle range abroad. These can be different types of developers - Client/Server applications, telecommunications applications, embedded software, Web-applications. Testers are also in demand and it is difficult to do by own resources here. Analysts and system architects with 3-5 years relevant experience often go into the middle range hierarchically on condition of ability to use modern design tools and ООА/D.  continuance
