Offered Conditions
A standard job offer in an Irish IT-related company for an engineer not occupying a position in management (with little distinctions) will include the following:
1. A contract, often needing biannual or annual prolongation according to the regulations
2. A starting salary of $30 to 35 000 per annum (sometimes - more, rarely - less)
3. A full medical insurance (dentist's services included)
4. End-of-the-year performance based bonus opportunities
5. An airline ticket to Ireland, which normally is a part of the travel fund, which will cover all of the travel expenses.
6. Some companies provide stock options.
7. The pay terms are reviewed on an annual basis with a regular payrise (attached to condition of high-quality and timely project performance) of 8-10% a year. If an employee is promoted to a higher position, which may happen when s/he is fully acquainted with the technologies used in this department/company and with enterprise development strategy, then a consequent rise equal 15-20%.
8. There are other benefits available at various companies but they are provided on an individual basis, so they don't belong to a standard remuneration package
9. Besides, mostly all offered vacancies are permanent.

There is another question frequently asked by our candidates - it is about net earnings after tax deductions and all of the basic bills payment. This question is very difficult to answer because it will depend largely on a number of factors.
To begin with, it is necessary to know the exact amount of the salary and the family situation of a given engineer (single or married, if "married" - whether there are any children, what age, how many and whether the wife works). The answers to these questions will allow to find out the taxation rate for this individual. In Ireland, the taxation scheme is rather complicated, but the tax rate for an engineer's salary will not go beyond the following limits:
for married - 20-23%
for single - 25-28% (see Tax Calculator for more details by our Irish office)
Secondly, one of the biggest expenses on a family budget in Ireland is the price of accommodation. In Dublin, which is the capital and biggest city of Ireland, accommodations are most expensive compared to other parts of the country. (for more details see Working and Living in Ireland presented by our Irish office).
Thirdly, a great deal will depend on the person spending the money.
The conditions offered by Interconsulting to the engineers can be called nearly ideal.
Firstly, we do not charge candidates for our services. We get paid by our customers, which are the companies.
Secondly, we keep in touch with the candidate all the way through the recruitment process, arranging interviews, administrating the visa process and negotiations between the company and specialist, and advising him fully on all of the departure procedures.
Thirdly, we work in touch with the companies, which prefer to deal with agencies, experienced in candidates search, consultancy and documents legalization process. Candidates who approach companies themselves have less chances to be noticed by the company managers, partly because the process with them will be difficult to administer.
The basic criterion for us to begin work with a candidate above all things is his professional experience which is in demand in Ireland. More details on companies requirements and demand for certain technologies experience can be found at the page named Requirements.
